November 20, 2014 - KGS to Assist on U.S. Army Medical Command Internal Controls Testing Contract
The KGS team was selected by St. Michael’s Inc., a Service Disabled, Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), as its key subcontractor in support of a U.S. Army Medical Command (USAMEDCOM) contract to provide Internal Controls Testing Support Services to U.S. Army Medical Treatment Facilities across the country. This initiative is a part of a broad USAMEDCOM program to prepare for and sustain a full financial statement audit. This represents a continuation of work KGS has been performing for over six years with USAMEDCOM in support of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) compliance and Financial Improvement/Audit Readiness (FIAR).
"KGS is honored to have been selected to partner with St Michael's to provide its expertise to USAMEDCOM on testing of internal controls over financial reporting as well as over financial systems," said Pat Moneymaker, Chairman and CEO of KGS. "The Department of Defense has committed to achieving and sustaining an unqualified audit opinion and we are proud that KGS's experts are involved to help reach this goal."
Currently, KGS supports audit readiness for 10 Department of Defense (DoD) reporting entities and has helped defense agencies achieve 10 unqualified (clean) audit opinions. KGS provides the full spectrum of financial management, accounting, and technology solutions to the U.S. Army, the DoD, and Intelligence and Civilian Federal agencies.
