October 30, 2014 - KGS Awarded Contract to Support the Civil Engineering Division of the U.S. Coast Guard
KGS was recently selected by the US Coast Guard (USCG) Civil Engineering Division to provide continued capital acquisition program, internal controls, and audit sustainment support to the USCG's Civil Engineering Construction in Progress (CIP) programs. Through this contract, KGS will continue its support of the USCG's Capitalization of CIP initiative, which has been instrumental to the USCG's mitigation of a material audit weakness related to property accountability.
"KGS is very pleased to be able to extend our relationship with the USCG on this critical program to continue refining the capitalization methodologies which have been instrumental to DHS's audit successes," said Pat Moneymaker, Chairman and CEO of KGS. "With this new contract in the Civil Engineering Division, we will be able to help minimize the USCG CIP back-log and assist in developing the policies and procedures necessary to transition this expertise to the Federal workforce."
KGS has partnered with the USCG for close to 10 years and provides the full spectrum of financial management, accounting, and technology solutions to the USCG, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and Intelligence Community.
