November 30, 2011 — New Navy Financial Improvement Plan Task Order Awards
KPMG, LLP, was selected as prime contractor for three new task orders to provide financial improvement plan (FIP) support to all Navy major commands. KGS will perform as subcontractor on each of these task orders. Specifically, our team will provide:
- Assistance to the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) with readiness for audit of the Statement of Budgetary Resources.
- Support to Navy Commands for: defining Business Processes down to the desk level by business segment; defining system processes; Department of the Navy-level working sessions to build consensus on standard business process; and defining and implementation of final standard business processes for Navy ERP and Non-ERP Commands.
- Development and implementation of the Navy FIP strategy; helping ensure components understand and have the tools necessary to execute the strategy; recommending adjustments to the strategy and its implementation when necessary to achieve program manager goals; and support to Commands with financial management issues in areas which include Existence and Completeness of Government Personal Property and Equipment, and all aspects of the Statement of Budgetary Resources.
