October 1, 2010 — USCG Selects KGS to Continue Supporting Remediation of Budget Execution Issues
On September 28, 2010, KGS received a task order to continue assisting the Coast Guard (USCG) to improve and utilize Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Tools to facilitate validation, liquidation, and de-obligation of Undelivered Orders. KGS will help the USCG Finance Center to review and respond to auditor Prepared by Client requests and draft Notices of Findings and Recommendations; participate in working groups, conferences, and meetings; and respond to Department of Homeland Security data calls. KGS efforts will include training and field support to draft Systems Change Requests for CFO Tools, draft and execute test plans, and provide Help Desk support. With this new follow-on award, KGS will also provide technical expertise to assist with development, training, and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable presentation of balances and activities in the annual Statement of Budgetary Resources and related disclosures.
